Time sure flies when you're a Realtor, some days it's just hard for me to recall what day it is! Whether it is a hot market or a slow market, my time still seems to be what everyone wants. Now I am not complaining, I am pleased that I am apparently in some sort of demand. I guess that comes from the 20+ years of daily dedication to my work. However, even with computers and all the high tech on-line stuff, there is just more places to add, post and upload to, which takes even more time. Buyers can call on such short notice; can I see 507 Main Street? I am standing right in front of it right now.  Sellers frequently phone or drop by at the most inopportune moments throwing off my schedule. Like first thing at 8:30 am on Monday morning, enthusiastically telling me, I just wanted to find out what is happening with our house since we listed on Friday night? Why are there no showings yet? Say, could you run this ad I wrote myself (3 paragraphs) in the Wall Street Journal?

With the summer months just about now gone, so goes hope of extra leisure time for me. Over the years it's been easy to condition myself to believe... not having extra time for the simple things in life is quite normal for a Realtor. Like for example, never having extra time to stop at the farmers market on Saturday morning even if everyone else does.  I always just drive by looking out the car window, rushing on to some appointment somewhere else. Well as far as the farmers market and summer goes, one thing I realized is I really missed the taste of a homegrown tomato!  

Reason has it, since I had no time to stop; maybe this was the time slow down for just a moment and plant a few plants in my own yard. So I did!  I cleverly install two plants early in spring, in the middle of my front landscaped ornamental garden plot. It's my "I'm too busy Realtor garden", as with the in ground irrigation, and the ground mulch, there would be no need for me to toil.  All that was required was to anticipate warm, sunny days and in time hope they'd be ripe. I guess what any, In Demand Realtor needs to do is figure out how to properly manage time and resources to your advantage and sit back and reap your rewards!
