This past Saturday, September 6th, the Rotary Club in Cedar City dedicated the Memorial for those that served our country during the Vietnam War. The memorial is located at the Rotary Centennial Veterans Park in Cedar City. This is located on the East side of the T intersection of 200 North and 200 East and joins a beautiful Monument to the 222nd Field Artillary Unit of the National Guard that served in Iraq. There are further plans to create memorials to those that served in other wars.
There are many photographs of the Vietnam War Memorial that can be found at the local newspaper web site www.thespectrum.com. I have been passed and am glad to say that there were enough visitors that it would have made it difficult to take pictures for posting here.
This is just another great opportunity to pause and say thank you to those brave men and women that selflessly serve and protect us! Thank you!
