Are you getting hungry?   Where to eat in Paia,  Haiku,  Makawao,  Pukalani and Kula!

PAIA RESTAURANTS

If you're on Maui and thinking about where to eat, I have a website that will help.  Paia town has many great restaurants, as well as stores where you can buy food to go.  Mana Foods, the health food store, has a great deli and salad bar, which I frequent often.  For a really good fish dinner, we always like to go to the Paia Fish Market and get the Seafood Caesar Salad, with mahi mahi.  Dining is informal and family style on long tables and benches, so you can meet other diners.  It's usually pretty busy in there, so be prepared to stand in line to order.  At the top end of the price scale I would recommend Mama's Fish House Restaurant (pictured), if money is no object!  They are situated oceanfront in a little bay, amongst coconut palms and tropical flowers.  It's a real treat to have a meal in their award winning restaurant, as the food and service are always top notch.

What else is there?  How about macadamia nut pancakes at Charleys?  Or a Kula goat cheese Flatbread Company pizza?  A Thai inspired chicken wrap from Moana Bakery and Cafe?  A chimichanga or burrito from Fiesta TimeGreen Papaya Salad?  Whatever your tastes, you'll find something to satisfy your appetite in Paia.

Have you heard - Zippy's is now open on Maui. (in Kahului, but that's only about 15 minutes from Paia)

We ate at Charley's, boy is that place great! We had a really healthy lunch, the Mahi Mahi came with brown rice and a wonderful salad. Paia is a great town, we went shopping. We should have stopped to to see some Real Estate and to say hello !! We were only there for a short time though.

Elaine - Charley's gets mixed reviews, I have had wonderful meals there.  I think it depends a lot on who's cooking that day.  You're right, Paia is a fun place to hang out for the day.  Maybe next time we can meet.
