Ok, I have 1 photo of the set but it was taken right AFTER the show so the pillows, throw etc are all over the furniture and the coffee cups and tray the 'talent' (LOL well if you are going to work with the industry you have to talk the talk! LOL) used are on the coffee table still.

There were 5 digital cameras to film the show and they really show the lighting to it's fullest extent.

Also, we only had access to furniture with in the 4 seasons...which is only a 3 star hotel...YUCKY and OLD!

The couch I assured the Producer would look amazing and would also mostly be hidden by the girls when sitting on it.

The coffee table's legs would also not be seen so I was ok with it...I didn't like the brass legs but the top was perfect.

Ok, enough excuses for the furniture!

Here is the set, taken from beside the lighting and cameras:

This was the most excitement I've had in quite a while. Kim was amazing and did an incredible job of sourcing some of the accessories.

You can bet I will be calling Kimberly to assist again.

I will make sure to responding to comments I've gotten on the previous and this post over the next few days but I'm exhausted, still excited (I'm in BlackBerries in L.A and Chicago!!) told I will be getting referrals and may get a call to go to L.A. OMG!!

Now I've promised to take the kids out to ride their bikes...they've waited long enough for me to have 2 coffee's and some time on the computer. :) Life has some great surprises for us all...just be patient and confident and they will come!

I am extremely lucky to have had this opportunity and I'm thrilled!

Dane, Thank you so much for the great opportunity...What a fun filled night we had! And just for the record, I loved the coffee table and the legs! Too bad you can't see the very funky circles on the top. Can't wait to work with you again...Next time lets try a 12 hour gig, this 24 hour thing is killing me. Kim

Hi Julia! It's 'The Sweet Life of Bees'. It is a movie that will be opening in October. The stars and Director were in Toronto for it's Premier which took place here in the Toronto International Film Festival.

The movie is based on the NY Times bestseller which was written by Sue Monk Kidd.

Nancy, I'm just reading it now. It is beautifully written!

One of the writers from the show said, after the fact, I should have gotten the girls to sign the book (on the easel) for me. So I got to take it in case I ran in to any of them in the hotel. No luck though!

I'm considering sending it to each one with a stamped and self-addressed return envelope asking for them to comment on my set and for their signatures...after I finish reading it.

Wendy thank you that is so nice of you!

I have loved seeing, and have been living vicariously through, each sucess which has come to other stagers here on AR. This was a complete surprise to me, came out of the blue as they were in a bind.  I'm excited to see who is next with a surprise/exciting job as I'm sure there will be many more successes spread around.

Cynthia, thank you! I'm very proud of what we achieved with very little to work with and very little time to find anything to accessorize with.

I was told to get curtains as well...so there yards of 2 different beautiful fabrics (love t.v. and stills...you can fake so much) you would find in an expensive custom livingroom...I think I'll be sending it to the Fox Network for their inventory...they paid for it since they didn't use it and it can't be returned!

Hi Greg!

The ladies looked stunning. They really relaxed in to the set and interviewed each other rather than having a host on the show. This was the first time they did this format. It was a 30 minute shoot...that went 2 hours!

Shoot was to begin at 9:15 till 9:45. They started at 10:00 (we were ready...one of the girls wasn't in makeup or hair yet). It ended just after 12 noon.

I was blown away when I saw the set on the t.v. monitors the whole thing glowed and as I told the producer the sofa's colour would really complement the girls skin tone. It was a tough fight to keep the couch but I won...only because the hotel could not get the greige one in the elevator.

The producer made it very clear to me, the set will determine the success of the show. How's that for pressure! Odd, I wasn't fazed. Thank god for no notice! I might have been a nervous wreak. LOL, who am I kidding...no I wouldn't have!

Dane ~ Ooooh, it came out so nice!  It would be great if they would sign the book if you sent it to them, AND give you a testimonial about the set!  How great would that be on your website!  Very exciting; I hope you continue to get more from this.

Hi Sylvie!

Thanks. I might have to turn my comment to Greg in to a post. There is much I can expand on...so very much! The producer was left high and dry, by the network, without a crew.

Luckily she had a back up crew of her own, except a set designer. Although I was more of an Art Director/Set Designer...now that I've looked up the job descriptions!

OMG wouldn't L.A. be an amazing trip. I have a very dear friend who is an actress originally from Toronto who I've not seen in years. I would give my Honda Pilot to get to hang out with her again for a bit. :(

Bonjour Monsieur! Et merci.

I like to be treated like a Queen, and Kimberly will tell you I had my Diva moment at 4:45 A.M. (in the elevator between the 32 floor and the Lobby) at the 4 Seasons however I will refrain from dubbing myself any such thing. Dane is fine! Super Star is better...but just whisper it behind my back so it doesn't go to my head! ;)

BTW, you are a fun addition to AR. Love the euro spunk!

Hi Connie, thanks!

The Four Seasons here fetches about the same...but the rooms are so dated it is pathetic! We have a place here where you can go buy used hotel furniture and what the 4S here has belongs in that warehouse.

The lobby and restaurants are the only thing they've updated. Actually the lobby seating area is pathetic, it's *just* the restaurants they've updated.

lobby sofa

There was a point when everyone but me wanted to use this sofa! It is stained, huge in scale, has a different fabric on the seat cushion and would washout the beautiful skin tone on the women. I stood my ground.

lobby chairs

These chairs are really comfy but the colour...photo burns them out is a really deep drab olive. The producer was adamant we were using these chairs. Kim went with me to find 'alternates' ;) These chairs never made it on to the set.
