Tempe is borded by Phoenix on the west, Scottsdale to the North, Chandler to the South, and Mesa to the East.  It is the home to Arizona State University.

As of the 2006 census estimate, there were 169,712 people living in Tempe.   This includes:  77.51% White, 3.66% Black or African American, 2.01% Native American, 4.75% Asian, 0.29% Pacific Islander, 8.49% from other races, and 3.30% from two or more races. 17.95% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

The median income for a household in the city was $42,361. About 7.5% of families and 14.3% of the population were below the poverty line. If you're wondering about the high poverity percentage....it's because there are a large number of ASU students living in Tempe,  so this number doesn't accuratley reflect the overall income of the area.

Tempe is a really fun city...there are a ton of neat shops etc. on Mill street.  More to come on future blogs!!  If you have any questions about moving to Tempe, please feel free to call me at  602.714.1012.
