Bring it on Project Blogger

Project blogger I have to tell you guys that not only Am I honored and flattered and all of those other cool things associated with feeling up on a pedestal but I am also a little shocked!!

I have been chosen to be none other than Paul Chaney's apprentice for Project Blogger.

At first I thought "COOL!!" then I thought "Oh NO...this means work", but then....after I digested the idea I said "BRING IT ON!!"

For those of you that don't know or don't remember, the good ladies of Active Rain lead by non other than TLW - wrote reviews of Realty Blogging, written by Richard Nacht and Paul Chaney!!

I really want to thank TLW for getting me here, I am so thankful that she invited me to write the reviews and ultimately got picked by Paul for this contest. I had such a blast with Ann Cummings, Mariana Wagner, Monika McGuillicuddy and Carole Cohen writing the reviews and we learned so much....but that is NOTHING compared to the turture and sleepless nights I will endure under Paul's wing (j/k - we made a pact to make this fun - so watch out you hardcore competitors!)

What I find exiting about this whole ordeal is that originally the book club was created by TLW not only for us to learn a little more about blogging, (since most of us are a little clueless), but for us to be able to teach others what we have learned. Now, under Paul's coaching, not only will I take blogging to the next level, but I will be able to share what I learn for others to achieve their goals as well. Paul and I will share our experience and your questions and interaction will be welcome. Now all we have to do is get to work! I already have some homework - and for those that want to join in, please get the book (Realty Blogging), it will certainly be helpful.

Why am I not very surprised by this? It was inevitable that the Big Dogs in this business found you. I mean really, if a Big Cat can find you then so can a Big Dog. Dear, I'm so proud of you. I really am.

You've made a great choice in Ines. She is intelligent, cooperative, has an open mind and the willingness to share. She has been a delight to work with.

I wish you both the very best and I am anxious to be have Ines teach this old Big Cat a few tricks :)

That is an honor... Paul Chaney wrote the book on blogging....Frances Flynn Thorsen said that in a blog one time and I thought it was so clever.

I enjoyed the review of the book. Thanks to all who were involved in reviewing it for us. I still have not read the book. Congratulations!

Ann - Isn't that incredible? I had to do a "pinch me" routine - and I really owe everything I've learned to you guys, we really make a great team....and YES....I am still doing the Cabbage Patch with Mariana in the lead!

Now for the funny scene - my 10 year old is reading my blog while the book "Realty Blogging" is right infront of the computer. He says to me "Mom, who is this Paul guy?" - I respond "He's the author of this book and chose me for this contest", my cool kid says "Wow mom, you are GOOD!". Don't you just love kids.

Liz - the fact is that there are some GREAT players here and it will be a great exercise to look forward to because we will learn from every single one of them - this is truly a unique experiment and there will be no loosers. I have already learned from the other coaches and the contest has not even started.

Ines congratulation! I am sure you will learn a lot, this will be beneficial to your business and I know you will share some of the tips with your fellow AR members.

Cyndee - The idea is for me to establish a new blog somewhere else, but will both post the progress here. Check out Paul's Blog, he already posted our first session and it is definitely the most important part of the whole process (to identify your goals and your audience).

I meant to agree with you about the Realty Blogging book. I bought it Sunday night and couldnt put it down. Its a terrific book, and sooo many familiar names are in it. I never knew how many really talented people are here on Active Rain.

It is prety powerful.

After reading the book, I did decide to jump in and start creating my own blog. I am doing based on our county, when its up and running strong, I would love your opinion on it, after all, your going to be the next Blogger Mama! lol.....Sorry, I have no idea where that came from.

Gena - you would be surprised how green I am after I've talked to Paul - all the lingo goes right over my head and the technical aspect of it is definitely not there - the difference is that I have been writing regularly since I joined here, and read a couple of blogging books with "the ladies of the rain" You will see the transformation here and we will share all the steps - the contest will be evaluated on a weekly basis and we obviously need people's support. Thanks for cheering me on.

And while we're at it, also add Rainers and Localism to spell check, too.

I don't know what anyone can do to improve your blogging? I read your blogs before the Realty Book Club and noticed a distinct change after! Guess we'll all be watching and learning! Good luck and have fun!

I agree with Christine. I've given Kevin the heads up that you two are destined to be the front runners. We'll be watching and learning from you guys...everyone will. There's much to be learned by all, including the participants in the contest.

Monika - thank you...and you know you are partially responsible for this...I don't want to get mushy....but you know what I mean.

Karen- We can all improve our blogging, I think after reading the book, I started feeling comfortable with putting my personality on posts and getting goofy. Thanks for noticing the improvement, it means a lot to me that you notice - I'm hoping Paul will help me with the lead generation aspect that I'm missing and will give me a "blog makeover" as he called it.

Ardell- I respect you sooo much and have to confess that when I read you chose Kevin, I was a little jealous....the good looking guy with the great business and reputation, gets a great Coach...he HAS to be good. Then I thought, just because I have been blogging for a few months and made some friends on AR doesn't mean I couldn't use a coach....and it fell on my lap. So here is TO LEARNING!
