This is a great reminder. I like to do client appreciation events. I need to be better at sending something of value or conveying something of value that clients can share with others.
On the recommendation of an internet marketer, I purchased the 4 CD set of Seth Godin's, "Meat-Ball Sundae: Is Your Marketing Out Of Sync?". I've listened to this set of cds at least 25 times and continue to once per week. It reminds me to update my squidoo site(s), update my AR blog, to interact more with my audience, that every contact is an opportunity to give value/shine, and that the way we marketed 10 years or even 5 years ago doesn't exactly work today like it used to. It makes me think of new ways I can offer value, new problems I can help solve for my clients (or potential clients when I meet them). A delivery courier gets paid about $10/hour; an attorney $150/hour because of the problem(s) they choose to solve....the value they can add. Solving more or more in demand problems increases your bottom line. I highly recommend any marketing advice from Seth Godin.
Great video - I am a fairly new agent and find that I utilize the internet much more than most in my office so I appreciate hearing about more sites where I can participate and that cold calling really doesn't work like it used to.
Seth has always had some good ideas. However, it was not until he personally gave me praise on a blog that I became a true fan and really started listening to him.
