I've got a big day tomorrow. Our very own Jonathan Greene is driving over from Tampa, in the morning, to go on a listing appointment with me. I must say I'm pretty excited about this. I just hope I do a good job and don't let him down. "The Lovely Wife" was the last one to go with me on an appointment and that was about 5 years ago.

So it should be interesting. It looks like it will be a fairly easy listing. They have been on the market for 6 months and the listing has just expired. At least I know they have already made the decision to sell and after 6 months they are probably very anxious to move forward. From what I can see the listing price is only a little bit off, so that shouldn't be a problem. The co-broke is very low so I assume commission is going to come up. But it usually does, so I'll just have to sell them on my worth.

The whole idea, of Jonathan coming, over was his and I am very impressed that this young man is willing to do whatever it takes to be successful in this business. Even if it means putting up with me for a day. I am also humbled that he feels I have something to offer him.

So, fellow "Rainers", think about Jonathan and I around 10:30 tomorrow and send us some good luck. My goal is to leave there with my sign in the ground. And who knows maybe we both will be able to learn something from each other. If nothing else, I am sure we will have some good info for a Blog post tomorrow. Let's go get'em Jonathan!

ActiveRain Tag Team?  Is this a first?  Two real estate professionals that have never met in person or spoke on the phone on meeting up in person to learn from one another!  Brings tears to my eyes, this is beautiful.  Thank you for sharing this with us Bryant, you are the man!  Jonathan is a very good guy and I really want him to be very succesful in this business.

I can't wait to hear about your appointment tomorrow!

My favorite A/R TAG TEAM for sure!

Good job, guys.  I'm sure Bryant wil be agreat mentor, but it's likely he'll learn something from mentee Jonathan as well. It's always a two way street - at least when it's successful.

Talk about a testimonial to "What Active Rain means to me".  This is really cool!  It will be interesting to hear the story of your success from both perspectives!

Jeepers, the things a couple of guys will do just to get more AR points. It's pathetic...

:)

Good luck!

They are pathetic, and I can't spell grapefruit....

So Bryant, maybe I was wrong when I said you should be writing. Maybe what you should be doing is consulting and training. We're all coming down there soon for an education! Have the Broker Bryant Bus ready. Will be watching for the update tomorrow. Can you video tape it?

I'll be passing positive thoughts your way although I don't think either of you need them. You'll do fine!

Oh what I'd do to be a fly on the wall!

What a great idea.  I'm sure Jonathan will leave there energized and ready to meet life's next challenge.  Will be sending good thoughts your way -- as always.

You truly are a great mentor Bryant.  I only wish there were more realtors like you out there.  Good luck on your listing.  Take some notes for me Jonathan!!! LOL

What a great idea.... I'm sure I wouldn't mind spending a day with you, as would some of the others.  By the way have you got your 2007 calendar up and running.......  this idea just MAY catch on.

Have a wonderful day and enjoy mentoring one another.

I hope you have better luck than I did when a broker sent a new guy on a listing appointment with me several years ago.

I thought it was a slam dunk, did the Full Monty listing presentation to impress the new guy including the listing presentation book, bound CMA, references, etc., etc.

To beat it all it was a sweet little old lady.

After we had visited for about an hour she said she would need to talk to her son and for me to call the following afternoon.

I did and she told me her son had a friend who had listed the house that morning.

Oopsie, ;-)

Bryant,

I think that it was very kind of you to offer up this opportunity to Johnathan.  I will say a prayer that all goes well.  As we have been saying all week... good things are happening here!   Please let us all know how it goes.

Maureen & I plan to meet with Josh Plummer this week to discuss how we can all help eachother.  We decided to put the whole "3rd in the Mitten State" aside for a few hours.. :)

Somehow, I guess it won't be nearly as informative as your meeting with Johnathan.

Sorry Maureen & JP!

I'll chronicle the entire experience and, hopefully, share some of it with the rest of the group....no trade secrets included, of course.

Seriously, I feel privledged to be the recipient of Bryants knowledge.

That's amazing.  Now I can really see the benefits of AR.  That is some serious networking.

Hey Bryant, Just a little bit of humor.  This is your opportunity to shine. Since it has been 5 years since someone has accompanied you on a listing presentation....forget all those little shortcuts you may have learned and put together a full boat by the numbers.....one for the Gipper!  Jonathan, how about a critique...not that we would want to make Bryant sweat.

This should be interesting, I'm betting it will be a slam dunk!
