Reunion is another John Wieland community in South Hall County. Much like Hamilton Mill, Reunion is a wonderfull planned community with a town center, shopping, and amenity area for residents to congregate. Being an avid golfer, I found the real star of Reunion to be the 18 hole golf course. In my opinion this is a tougher course than Hamilton Mill. You start the round with a par 5, there are fairway bunkers almost everywhere on this course. The fairways are contoured and the greens are undulating and very large. You need all aspects of your game to score well. Many of the holes have a carry to stay out of the hazards, even some of the par threes are set up in this fashion. You do not make a turn after the first nine, you are out there until the finishing eighteenth, which is a par 5 over a hazard, a second shot to a narrow landing area and a huge green. Another fun hole has a double green, they'll switch the hole from side to side. The homes are a cottage type reminiscent of the early 19th century. Priced from $300,000 and up, very affordable for country club golf living.
