Today I got up early in order to put my flag up. At our house, we fly our flag on a 30 foot pole every day of the year. On some Idaho winter days, getting that thing up the pole is the last thing that I want to do. But I do it because of what it represents. People have given their lives so I can have the honor to fly the US flag at my home.

This morning I had a very hard time getting the flag up the pole. The weather was not the problem. I took the flag to the top of the pole and then back down to half staff. My son came out and asked why I had tears in my eyes. I told him it was 9-11. Say no more.

Our flag flies for all of those who lost their lives on 9-11. May we always remember.

Keviin,

I hope your note encourages all who read it to fly their flag as well.

Kevin,

I hear you man.  I tried to watch a couple of videos and I can not finish them.  It takes me right back to that day and I get the same feelings in my gut.  What an aweful feeling!  Why they will not show more of this footage on the tv, I do not know.  People must not forget that WE were attacked that day!  Now look at everyone in this country fighting about nonsense most of the time.  Some things important but a lot that is not.  We have BIGGER things to worry about.  People want us dead!  Sorry to go on so long.  Thanks again!
