We are doing something different – at least I've never heard of it before. It's a "Piggy TRAC" Open House Bar-B-Que to bring both brokers and the public to see this wonderful house in Finksburg, MD. If you are anywhere in the area, make a note of the date, time, and place:

2349 Southfield Ct. Finksburg, Maryland 21048

IntersectionYes, we have had showings on this home with the grand entry in the Highland View Estates section of Finksburg. There has been interest, but the owners need to find that right buyer now so this family can move to Texas. And what says "Texas" more than "Bar-B-Que"?

So we are inviting you to a combination Open House/Broker's Open on Tuesday, September 16 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Our very own Paul Sobwickis a professional barbequer, so be sure to bring your appetite along with your buyers who are looking for a great home in one of the nicest suburbs in the Baltimore area. With more than 5,000 square feet, all the elegant features you expect in a premier home, and a full in-law suite, this home on a 1+ acre lot has so much to offer. And for three hours next Tuesday, it includes bar-b-que!

Don't miss out on seeing this great TRAC property on Tuesday, September 16th

TRAC www.TRACauctions.com is holding a BBQ on site from 4-7pm

Come bring your auction-related questions and of course your potential auction purchasers.  Several TRAC staff members will be present to discuss auction terms and conditions as well as the auction process, marketing strategies, and whatever else you wish.  ** RSVP at rsvp@TRACauctions.com **

Let me show you inside this lovely home....when you join us for the BBQ !!

Wow!  Could this turn into an Active Rain gathering?  Maybe we could get Brian Block if Sarah Palen isn't doing a rally somewhere nearby!

Grat idea, Margaret. I know a number of folks who have done catered types of Open Houses, but you are taking it to yet another level. Are you sending out personal invitiations to people too?

Margaret- Somehow I know this is going to be a hit, the trick is to figure out how much food to have on hand.  Please let us know how it turns out.

Norma, I think that might be your comment but you were not logged in. Hope we have a crowd.

Neal, Anytime you visit Baltimore, we will see that you get some good food. Heck, let me know ahead of time and we will have a barbque just for you!

We had a wonderful BarBQue.  Atending last evening.....Neighbors, friends, potential buyers, lenders, realtors(r)  and the TRAC team were at the house. We had fun! Think we will continue with idea.

Received a call last week from Dan Rafter, writer for The Washington Post, Today we were the feature story on the front page of the Real Estate  page section.

Here is the title:"How do you make an OPEN HOUSE stand out? Sometimes agents go to EXTREMES but the GLITZ doesn't always help.'

How did Dan find me? Active Rain!!

This looked like it was a lot of fun. Good idea to think outside the box, or maybe the grill!

How did this go over?  Was it an auction?  How many people came?  do you think more people come to auctions, then do open houses that are not auctions.

An, There were about 15 people including neighbors at the BarBQ. It brought a lot more attention to the house and this property settled last week.
