Wow! Could this turn into an Active Rain gathering? Maybe we could get Brian Block if Sarah Palen isn't doing a rally somewhere nearby!

Grat idea, Margaret. I know a number of folks who have done catered types of Open Houses, but you are taking it to yet another level. Are you sending out personal invitiations to people too?

Margaret- Somehow I know this is going to be a hit, the trick is to figure out how much food to have on hand. Please let us know how it turns out.

We had a wonderful BarBQue. Atending last evening.....Neighbors, friends, potential buyers, lenders, realtors(r) and the TRAC team were at the house. We had fun! Think we will continue with idea.

Received a call last week from Dan Rafter, writer for The Washington Post, Today we were the feature story on the front page of the Real Estate page section.

Here is the title:"How do you make an OPEN HOUSE stand out? Sometimes agents go to EXTREMES but the GLITZ doesn't always help.'

How did Dan find me? Active Rain!!

This looked like it was a lot of fun. Good idea to think outside the box, or maybe the grill!

How did this go over? Was it an auction? How many people came? do you think more people come to auctions, then do open houses that are not auctions.

An, There were about 15 people including neighbors at the BarBQ. It brought a lot more attention to the house and this property settled last week.
