Is This A 'FSBO Group'?

I joined this group as I wanted to participate in some exchange of information regarding the FSBO market. However, I see a lot of posts that are not on topic. Here are some.

Man you stepped out there didn't you. I feel the same way though and really wante to get some fsbo ideas.

Joyce, thanks for the comment. Yeh, I guess I stepped out there. Some patted me on the back, others threw daggers.

Let me throw something in the air and see what comments surface. I was talking to a friend of mine the other day. He has been an agent for 10 years and does a good business. He asked how my FSBO business was doing. I told him my take on FSBO's is they have the impression that all they have to do is put a sign on the lawn and they will get a sale.

His response was that this is the public perception of the real estate business. They feel that all agents do is put the property on MLS, a sign on the lawn and a sale will follow. Based on this, they have a problem paying a commission to sell their home.
