 The sun sets on an old buckethauler at Syncrude's oil sands project on August 28, 2006. The mining is now done primarily with trucks and shovels.

The entire site runs virtually non-stop 24/7 including huge Caterpillar mine trucks hauling their payloads at Shell's Muskeg River Mine project in the Alberta Oil Sands north of Fort McMurray.
