Wow, I can't believe I'm finally here.  I had heard about Active Rain thru some clients but never actually checked it out till today.  So much to read and learn!  Mainly learn, I have to say.  This is now the third time I'm typing this.  Lost it twice already!  But, I'm determined.....

Any helpful hints and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  In the meantime, I'm sure I'll keep pretty busy just checking everything out.

WELCOME TO ACTIVE RAIN! YOU WILL LOVE IT HERE.

Betty, Welcome to Active Rain and congratulations on you first blog post.  I recommend you read and comment on at least 10 post per day.  Also, I would add you photo instead of a logo.  People feel more at eased when they have a picture of who they are reading.  Logos, drawings, and pictures of pets/landscapes suggest the author is hiding something or is trying to sell something.  So, good luck and happy blogging.

Welcome to Active Rain and congratulations on you first blog post. Hey, While I'm at it . . .  what is the general sales climate in your area? Here in Hawaii, prices have still not dropped appreciably enough to motivate Buyers to jump in. OK . . .  have a good week-end.

Aloha

Betty - Welcome to AR!  I agree with Jimmy - a picture of you would be better than a logo - a blog post is a conversation - we like to see who we are talking to, don't you?

Click above on GROUPS and join a couple - first the Newbie group.  Brad and Rich have posts to teach you how to do everything!  Many other great bloggers have posts there.

Good luck, send me an email or call if you need any help!

Welcome, Betty! You're probably feeling pretty overwhelmed by now, but don't worry, you'll get into the swing of things in no time. My advice is to blog regularly, because getting started again once you've stopped is tough. Also, remember that in blogging etiquette, it's always considered polite to respond to people who have commented on your post (I didn't do it for the first few weeks, but had much more fun once I started!).

Hi  Betty, Welcome..like everyone else said ..you will love it here.  I went through the frustration of  lost post. If it helps I will tell you what I do. First  make sure you have it on draft mode

2nd If you want to type directly on the area that creates you post  submit it when you are 1/2  way through..then edit come back to the original post and continue.  I do this a couple of times..write submit comeback  few more lines  I keep doing this until the post is done.  If you do not submit you will at times take the chance of everything you have written will disappear.   I do it that way because I just can't stand to do it the easy way...it is just me....the easy way is to write your post in word or notebook then cut and paste to where the post is placed to have it read by the  HTML code.  I sure hope this doen't confuse you more......It's fun....and again  Welcome
