A few months ago I got a call from Katie Arnold, one of Outside Magazine's writers asking me for information about the Eureka California Real Estate Market, because Eureka California was chosen as one of the best towns to live in this year and she wanted to know more about the area, the economy, the general Humboldt County California Real Estate Market and what else our community had to offer someone thinking about moving to our area.

So it was cool to finally see the article in the magazine and online. Short and sweet.

It's just nice to know that we to get on some national media's radar from time to time :)

It is a very cool place - I've been there - it's so laid back and I love the weather!

Hope - Me too! (weather). Although today it's quite chilly. Ready to crank up the pellet stove again.

My son just moved to Eureka and loves it!! Thanks for including pictures.

Hi Jessica,

My husband and I visited there two years ago. We absolutely loved it. The natural landscape is so beautiful. The redwoods were stunning. We noticed a lot of victorian styled homes while we were there. We considered moving there as well, but for now, we're staying in So Cal. Thanks for sharing more about your area!!

I still remember a trip to visit the Redwoods 20 years ago. How inspiring! You live in a lovely area.

Kathy - Wow, what a small world. Is he up here for school or work? If he's into the outdoors he's come to the right place :)

Debi- Thanks Debi - It has lots of great qualities. We do get quite a bit of fog throughout the year, but when it lifts it's incredibly beautiful.

Deborah - So Cal definitely has it's benefits (a lot warmer than up here...especially in the winter time). Well it you and your husband make your way up again, just to visit for that matter we should meet for coffee.

Trey - Thanks Trey! It's kiind of neat to know I'm so close to the parks (35 minute drive to Humboldt Redwoods State Park). I have to agree, it is always an amazing experience to walk among those ancient trees. Jurassic Park always comes to mind.
