I made time yesterday afternoon to attend a Broker Open House that was about a 30 minute drive along the lake south of Coeur d'Alene, almost to Harrison. It was a beautiful day and I talked my husband into being my chauffer. It's not every day that you can take a drive along one of the world's most spectacular lakes on a glorious afternoon with your sweetheart - and technically still be working! I networked with some great people I wouldn't have met otherwise, and toured a home with hands down THE most breathtaking lake view I have seen in these parts. On the way home, we saw a moose! Now that's not something I am used to seeing everyday. In fact, my only other moose encounter was several decades ago in Alaska. I was so disappointed that I hadn't thought to bring a camera along. I am going to make sure to keep it in my car from now on. Here's recent photo of a moose taken last month by Teresa Peugh not too far from there, on the North Fork of the Coeur d'Alene River. Looks just like my moose, and perhaps it is. Isn't North Idaho a great place to call home!
Janna, Sorry you didn't win the $1000 drawing at the Open House... But you have to admit a great Moose viewing isn't too bad a constellation prize!

Pam - You're right, the unexpected Moose was a nice cap to the afternoon. The $1000 would have been great, but I did snag a $50 runner up prize. Added to the 2 movie tickets I won at sales meeting from the Riverstone gals, I have turned it into a Friday night dinner & a movie date night!
Janna, That's an awesone moose!!! I've never seen one of those but sure would love to. All we have is little tiny deer. And lots of snakes!!!
We get to carry mooses everyday ... they are on one side of our quarters.
