NAR STARTS COMMERCIAL DATABASE

For any of you who are not aware, NAR has started a commercial database. Get on there now; the accounts are free. Start listing your properties for incredible visibility.

The only unfortunate part of the this amazing website is that it does not include businesses for sale. As the owner/broker of Long Island Business Brokerage, Inc. (LIBBI), I am truly disappointed.

Hey, Gail.

Businesses are not real estate, although they can own real estate, so it wouldn't seem to make sense that the NAR commercial database would included businesses. That would be outside of their scoep.

Seems like you have a start on a business database. Why not go all the way?

Thank goodness our Multiple Listing Service allows business listings; I hear there are a lot of them that do not.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that in NY business brokerage is not a regulated industry.

Hey Gail,

I'm going to register right away. Interesting point by Michael. We have business listings in our mls. Most times they are so incomplete that I wonder if the person listing the business knows anything about it at all.
