What a fantastic community. It's so inspiring to find such a large group of professionals working toward making our world greener one home at a time.
Like you, I'm passionate about green living and sustainability, and eager to make a difference. My values-based decorating, redesign, staging, and eco-consulting business is relatively new. (My prior career was in biomedical research, which gives me a valuable interdisciplinary perspective, a talent for meticulous research, and the lateral problem-solving skills that will be invaluable for working in sustainable design.) I am applying what I have learned in my own eco-reading and from my green mentors to every aspect of my services and operations.

I'm making my article freely available for educational use, with the goal that it will help to accelerate the switch to environmentally-friendly practices in the redesign and staging industry. The CRDA's Val Sharp will be using it as part of her certification course, and I hope other CRDA- and ISIS-affiliated instructors will also pick it up.
