Reverse 911 Emergency for your neighborhood...

Wish we would have had this service on our cell phones this week.  A man kidnapped a woman in New Mexico and made her drive him to Denver, they ran out of gas about 1/2 mile away from our house (in Colorado Springs).  She ended up getting away and he ended up breaking into a house about 3/4 of a mile away from our house, hurting that person.  Schools were on lock down and everybody was pretty worried.  Many of our friends got a call in the middle of the night letting them know there was an armed man on the lose.  I didn't know about this until after my son was off to school in the same area that everything was going down.

They got a call from the Reverse 911 Emergency program.  I sure wish we would have had this on our phones.  I am not sure why we didn't get the call, but I went ahead and signed up for them to call our cell phones if something happens again.  Below is where you can sign up for it.  It is free.  They will call and confirm your cell phone number and that you signed up for this.

Sindee,

First off, love how you spell your name!  Yes, I agree it is a great thing to have.  Hopefully other parts of the country will catch on.
