When I think about the word legacy, the first thing that pops in my head is family. Actually the word legacy does apply to "something transmitted by or received from an ancestor or predecessor or from the past."  Thinking about my on-line legacy causes me to reflect on the history I have left behind in the rain.

With family being the most important people on earth to me, many of my posts have been written on in honor of them.

The one post on Alyssa's Wreck  written in July of 2007, is the post that connected the two... my real blood family and the Activerain family.

Until that horrific event this was just a place to blog. I had just started connecting with some ladies on Activerain about search engine optimization and techniques for better blogging.

This is also when I really connected with Brad Andersohn and my blogging buddies.

Since then I have written many posts on or about my family.

Enough said

Since the connection of the two families, real and online at Activerain, I have had several opportunities to connect with members of Activerain and written posts on those get Activerain get togethers.Kim Wood, activerich, me

Back in December of this past year, I was strattled with the decision of To Stay of Go in making a tough decision on leaving one company and joining another one.  The out-pouring of advice, love, concern and support was wonderful.  Being transparent and asking for advice on Activerain, will cause the community to come to your rescue with warm advice and recommendations on your needs. I literally poured over every comment as I made my decision.

Me and my Tablet PCI have strived to give back to the community here on Activerain, by sharing my advice on both listing and selling real estate. I have emailed my Pre-Listing Questionnaire all across the country.

Of course it goes without saying how much I love technology and love to share with everyone what has worked for me in my daily life as a Realtor, and what has improved my marketing and sales.

Missy - Hopefully your legacy continues to grow! Congratulations on your successes and thanks for visiting my blog from time to time! (Oh, and glad you got rid of the "preview page" pop up on your links. I didn't like that.) Thanks also for the advice on the tablet PC.

What a wonderful online legacy! It's also an account of your time here Missy...and I'd say time well spend giving info, sharing with us ...and meeting with peers. There is nothing better than blogging and making friends.

Missy.... your post was the first one that I read for this particular contest. I am still thinking about doing one... but overall, this was very well done. I liked how you incorporated both your immediate family and the AR family.  Again, nice job.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised to see a buddy of mine of one of your pictures.  After all, both you and Roxanne McIntyre are with the same franchise.  Yes, those seven degrees of separation are shrinking.

I will echoe what so many have already said...YOU have made a tremendous impact here at AR. You were one of the 'lights' that I discovered very quickly after joining AR. From that moment on, I've been drawn back to your posts over and over. You are a giver, Missy!

Missy - what an awesome post you have written. First of all, I did not know about Alyssa's wreck and I hope she has recovered fully and is doing well. I have a daughter the same age (who was in a car accident this summer) fortunately she was not injured. You have written an wonderful post here about your legacy, and I for sure have learned a tremendous amount from you. I appreciate that you have shared so much personal information, as it truly allows people to get to know you.

I have a legacy online post as well (still in draft form) and hope to have it finished by Friday.

I took you at your word about the popcorn, but since it's still early in the morning here, I chose a bowl of frosted mini-wheats so that I could read about your legacy and possibly add to it.
