Where's Active Rain? Great list of blogs! Bryant Tutas, Maureen Mc.Gabe, Lane Bailey, Laurie Manny to name a few are household names on the Rain. Congratulations to you guys.
There are a few with significant up or down movement. Would be interesting to hear what changes those blogs made that caused them to rise or fall so dramatically.
Jon, you are so great to do this, I know, I know been neglecting that "other blog" lately............localism is a taking all my time and I've been busy with listings. Who knows why all these Ann Arbor folks like to list just as we head into winter. I'll try to focus more on AnnArborRealEstateTalk.com
A. Grey & Konnie - The ranking used to be the average of a site's Compete and Alexa rankings. But, it looks like the September list is using just Compete rankings.
John - The +/- seems to be due to a change in metrics rather than anything the bloggers did.
Thanks yet again for compiling this list. I can't seem to stay in the Top 10, but I'm not going to complain!
For those asking about why Active Rain isn't on the list, AR is a network, these are individual blogs (though many have multiple authors).
The number to the right used to be an average of Alexa and Compete traffic numbers. THis time it appears it may just be Compete, though my numbers are off even for that. Neither Alexa or Compete seem to capture all my traffic (not surprising AT ALL for Alexa, I haven't researched how Compete compiles traffic.)
Thanks so much for this great list. Lots of great Active Rain folks on it... and many other great blogs and bloggers that I really need to get familiar with. Thanks so much for sharing it...
Jon, I enjoy seeing this list each month and am always happy to see that my blog still places on it. +20 this month... wow! Must be doing something right.
Jonathan..thanks for the inclusion of both of our blogs but in this list..what was the reason for dropping the Alexa ranking? I know neither are 100% accurate but the average seemed to be more in line...did you find something skewed with Alexa?
I know this is a dumb question, but how/where to you get these numbers? I would love to be able to figure out where my blog ranks etc. I love seeing Miamism so high...it proves you can post localism and be above some that are hard-core real estate. Congratulations to all!
"DNR designation" do not rusicitate? <-- spell check is not working so I can not be held responsible for a spelling error.
Mine was plus I think for the first time since you have kept this list. I wonder if that is because I have killed my first blog (RealTown) and am importing the content to my WordPress.org blog.
