Ok, famous line from a classic movie...

The Godfather! I LOVE this movie! I have owned the trilogy forever!
Last Thursday evening, I was fortunate enough to get food poisoning! I don't know if it was the burger or the Hef I ordered, but there I was, knee deep in what can only be described as "Morning Sickness goes 10 rounds with Jack Dempsey".
I was SO SICK!
Why do I bring this up...because I was so sick, I had to stay home.
Recovering is never fun with any illness, but it does help once you can actually hold water, to lay on your sofa and watch old movies...for me this happened to be The Godfather.

Now before I go on any further, I really need to emphasize that I love this movie and can quote random lines from it. Part I, II, or III.

I put in the movie and watch Part One. Loved it (again). Put in the second. LOVED IT...and I DO mean it is my favorite of the three.

Put in the third one. Started watching it...but wait. Something’s different! The opening sequence doesn't seem right. Hmm...keep watching...did I put in the wrong disc?
More time passes...still don't recognize the movie...then it dawns on me...

I HAVE NEVER SEEN THE THIRD MOVIE! I couldn't believe it!

After thinking about this for a long while, I came to the conclusion that I had seen a lot of snippets of the film and read enough ABOUT IT that I had tricked myself into thinking I had actually watched it.

So why do I bring this up with regards to Real Estate?
Because in Real Estate, as a new agent, we trick ourselves into believing that we are WORKING in Real Estate.

We show up to office meetings, go to office caravans, then we go to city caravans.
We meet for a training session here and there, and then we meet with title reps and "stratergize" about how we're going to grow our business...

We hear all about contracts, and disclosures, and talk to people at the market about how busy we are, and trick ourselves into thinking this is Real Estate!

It is so important for the new agent to be ACTIVELY ENGAGED IN REAL ESTATE RELATED ACTIVITIES that are going to produce results.
If a new agent hasn't written a contract within their first 30 days of getting their license, odds are dramatically increased that he/she will fall out of real estate.
Why is that? Because their confidence levels drop.

Sounds grim, and that is not my intent...

My intent is to let you know that there is a program that will help you WORK IN REAL ESTATE RELATED ACTIVITIES that WILL PRODUCE RESULTS!

Sales Environmental Learning Laboratory™ is just one of the modules that teach you to work effectively in Real Estate.
It’s not just about managing your time, but about the ACTIVITIES that you engage in while you are working in Real Estate.

It also teaches you about yourself and the barriers you place on yourself with regards to your career, and how to get to the next phase in your life.

Real Estate is a LOT of fun. Every day is different and every client you have can be your client for life.

It is rewarding to hand over the keys to a first time home buyer.

I love what I do, and I am thankful that Seven Gables invests in it’s Real Estate Associates to be empowered in their career, regardless of what’s going on out there!
