Well I am finally getting my real estate license. Getting the license has been a long time coming and many already think I have it. Nope but I also have never conducted a real estate transaction.

All my knowledge has been from the business operational side of real estate; carrying out marketing plans, doing the books, commissions and so on. Now that things are changing it is a good idea for me to put into practice what so many preach on AR about.

The opportunity is perfect since it matches and fits my business background. Having a real estate license allows me to implement best practices like everyone else and survive in an unstable economy. Woot! Sounds fun.

But before that can happen I need to do 1 more week of classes and pass the state exam. So far so good and it is nice to have a teacher where questions can be bounced off at any time. Our broker is usually to busy with other task so randomly throwing and getting a detailed answer.

Having a back ground in real estate makes the class pretty easy but how knows if I pass the test ;)

Toby - you will pass it - I waited 7 months for mine after I applied, everyone wanted one then, now there isn't even a line.  Good luck to you - keep studying and learning here on AR.

In Florida, you know if you passed before you leave the building...it's a yes or no...you don't have to wait.

Good luck to you!

Good luck to you and Welcome Aboard. You seem as though you'll do just fine. Plus, you've got AR on your side. I've been in the biz for 11 years and since I've discovered AR, I never stop being amazed at the different approaches and information I come across here.

I like your enthusiasm, Toby!  Take as many practice tests as you can get your hands on in preparation for the exam.  And be sure to read the questions carefully on test day.  I'm sure you'll do great.

Good luck with the exam Toby.    Will you still be working for the office doing the operational side of things...or will you be strictly a Sales Associate?

Good Luck ..Remember during the test not to think, really just answer like a robot they want you to know the information not understand it .. like my dad says don't over think it. But you should be fine with all the active rain positive vibes focused at you

Make sure you study till you can study any more - don't take it lightly even if you are in the business - many current agents couldn't pass the test if they had to right now.

Wow, what a welcoming :)

It makes sense for me now to get a real estate license as an officer manager with a business background. Recently I pasted my 2 year AR anniversary and it has been fun so far have met so many awesome people; including the AR guys ;)
