Great video. I met Russell Shaw several years ago at a Star Power event. Russell hit the nail right on the head when he said, "Sellers want someone who can get the job done." That's it in a nut shell. Great interview Russell. Hope to see you in Denver at the next Star Power event. Mickey Hayward http://www.mddehomes.com

What a smoke screen! All your business comes form network TV and radio??? Thats' humerous.......considering 90% of all the people looking to buy or sell real estate use the internet. I have never had so many calls from bokers across the country about "flat rate real estate".
You have a valid point about being able to close a sale but you are dead wrong about the savings that is offered through discount brokers. The housing market in severe turmoil, bluechip investment firms dropping like flies, and ya saving money today is of no concern!!!
Agents can't afford to advertise because they are charging the same fees they charged 5 years ago.
I am glad you are doing so well but please don't bash others for offering an alternative way of selling or buying it isn't very professional!
Absolutely right...One of my favorite quotes from MY sellers..."You get the job done!!" I certainly agree with other of my fellow *Rain bloggers...this is true...** the discount Brokers do not have the experise...They are desperate to get listings, then they stress out the homeowners with all their promises and do nothing! Real Estate is a *full time job! If you can't make the commitment to service you clients properly and get the *JOB DONE, then you need to look somewhere else for employment. Through these hard times we need to work together and these small discount offices will continue to fade out.

Flat Rate is an interesting option, but I haven't met anyone who was really pleased with that service. I am sure there are companies that run a good business. However, from an agent perspective, I have found it very frustrating trying to connect with their offices to show their properties. Each time I have connected with the homeowner to present an offer, they have wanted me to provide the service... that is usually provided by the Seller's agent and of course for free ~ JC

I think that too many people simply don't value their own time enough to let people know that their commission is not a negotiable item. You also need to have enought appointments to know that if you don't get this listing its not the end of the world.
If you sell results or as he said 'getting the job done' then you shouldn't have to worry about people complaining about your commission.
