We have decided to make some changes in our marketing.......looking for improvement and an edge.

John and I have subscribed to start a newsletter. Something we discussed, yet knew it would be a bit of work and time consuming at least to start. We also have never done anything ike this before.

The beauty of the program, we can personalize much of it.....and down the road maybe even share the mailing costs by placing advertising as well.

I hope that the many of my Active Rain family that have tried a newsletter will be able to give us some thoughts on their success and failure's while making it work.

Stay tuned and we will post the link once we have completed.

Have a great time putting together your newsletter. It's always a great idea to refresh your marketing, it gives you something of value to talk about. I've tried the newsletter with "The Personal Marketing Company" and I'm looking at the one with technology built in it by "Realty Times". I noticed you use "Top Producer" we recently started using that program - 10 seller snapshot requests came in this past week... I'm thinking that seems pretty good? How is it working for you? Any tips?

Dan - what newsletter did you go with? Like the Gardner's, I like The Personal Marketing Company. They offer a number of newsletters (depending on what demographic you are going for) and they look very professional. Best of success!

Change is certainly how we grow. I have been worried about commiting to a newsletter and not being able to complete it in a timely fashion. I think it might work starting out quarterly and then adding a "special" newletter from time to time. I know a lot of people like constant contact -- which one are you going to use? Good luck.

I tried a newsletter years ago. Back then they were time consuming and I didn't find it to be worth the cost and effort. I'm sure it's changed quite a bit since then. Good luck to you.

One of the most successful pieces of my newsletter is the only section I write. It's a market up and overview either on what has happened in the last 30 days or most recent quarter. It's timely information and even if one is not interested in buying or selling, people seem to enjoy market info.
