I was leaving to go home from my mobile office (Caribou Coffee w/free wi-fi-LOL) when I thought, look at my car, it is ridiculous.  People are looking at this lady with things falling out of her car because it is so jammed packed.  Is she a homeless who lives out of her car?  hmm, lately I've been feeling that way.

Why can't I ever have my car clutter-free enough so that I can quickly do a run through at Auto-Bell?  By the time I finally declutter my car, it is junked by my children with their half drunken juiceboxes, and poptart wrappers shoved under the seats from the mad morning rush.  Anyways, ...

it made me wonder - I'm sure there are other stagers who have just as much stuff if not more.

Show us your pictures everyone - let's have a good laugh!  There's a staging I did, I was thinking how funny would that have been to have a deer head in my minivan? (well, maybe not)

Those are decoative seashells on the car floor, for you never know when you'll be needing them.

Now who can live without a handtruck?  I need to go buy one, I borrowed it for this project, first time using it, and it was definitely a back saver!

Can you believe all this junk and this is the state of my car AFTER a staging?

Hey ya'll - join in, when you can.  I know this is probably the last thing you want to do after a tiresome day of staging, but it may help you make light of everything - especially a long day of staging.

Marcyne - You are a brave woman!  I would have to take a shot of my basement to equal that level of bravery...However, my car looks pretty good.  I am trying to be very disciplined about returning my car to its original condition after each shopping trip and staging event.  After all, it is still the family vehicle.

HI Marci, You should have seen it BEFORE I did the staging.  It was a partial vacant, so I had furniture to boot on top of all the mess you saw LOL.  I totally relate about not seeing through my rear view or my passanger side mirror or window for that matter.

Kimberly, I have to learn.  I am so wiped out from returning from a stage, that when I get home, sometimes at 10:30 pm or 11pm at night, I don't have the energy to declutter my car!  I wish I had a basement. I now am lookinng into storage units, which I am getting very nervous about.  M.

Marcyne, I don't even need to do a staging to have my car look like that :(  How bad is THAT??  I am always driving somewhere and spend so much time in it......(that's my excuse).  Now, after I get my tax papers together I know what I'm doing today!  Thanks for a great post!!

Marcyne, Don't be nervous. What part of getting a storage unit making you nervous?

I love my storage unit. I have tables set up in it with all props for certain rooms together according to style, unless multi use items. They are in containers that I can carry to my car's lift back door. This makes my gathering of props together soooo much easier. PS. Thanks to another AR stager's tip I now have the pictures of the items on the containers.

As far as the car flashing, I'm not going there. I am constantly telling myself how as stagers we know that uncluttering makes people's emotions lighter and uncluttering my car would make my feelings lighter. So I totally tackle the car but then after a few days , I need to de clutter again. I think it is a constant battle:.)

Thanks for sharing. You are not alone
