US FlagIn an effort to honor our Armed Forces, Six Flags Over Georgia has taken time to allow those who serve to get  complimentary admission at the gate for themselves and up to 3 dependents.  You must be currently serving on active duty status in the Army or the Marines (I absolutely love their commercials).  September 20 is the day for the Army and September 21 is the day for the Marines.  If your loved one is deployed on their respective date, the spouse is able to take advantage of this opportunity.  That spouse call also get up to 3 tickets. Keep in mind that you must have a valid military identification card.

Sept 20 - Army: Park opens @ 10:00a.m. to 8:00p.m.
Sept 21 - Marines: Park opens @ 11:00a.m. to 7:00p.m.

I think it is utterly ridicoulus that "six flags" would only give the people who defend our country a certain day to attend the park when all other parks offer any day of the year.  Is business that bad?  Or maybe our military should pick just one day to defend our freedom?  This just shows exactly how much six flags over georgia cares about our military. MONEY COMES FIRST not freedom.

I think it is ridioulus because the army and the marines are not the only soldiers who go to battle to defend the country. What about the navy and the airforce? I mean the navy transports the marines and aircraft. The navy fights on water and the airforce defends the skies, how dare they discriminate on what branches they want to let in. I also agree with the first response.

I would say i agree with the post above me, but i read another article that opened my eyes. I am currently in the Army by the way. The post was pointing out that being in the military is voluntary, as is any private business's desicion to serve whoever they want, or in this case, give a free ticket too. Think about it, did you join the military only for military discount or did you join to serve the country? Also the second post, WTF is know, why not the other branches, but hey, we live in America and fight for their rights to do whatever they want. Also first guy, I don't mean to affend (did i spell that right?) and if i did my apologies just trying to give some insight (and my opinion).
