Yesterday...grueling...Today, Glorious!

I had to deal with the first of unfinished business yesterday with business owners who seem to have nothing better to do than create vendettas...it was unpleasant! I was exhausted, but I faired well. Thanks to the many who are there cheering me on!

Today, GLORIOUS! It has been a slow summer along the Grand Strand, I was getting nervous... oh, what to do, what to do????

Funny, phone started ringing off the hook beginning last week...and, I was scheduled to speak at the Coastal Carolina Association of Realtors "Nuts & Bolts" presentation before the monthly luncheon today.

Never got home from the grueling day (can't wait for it to be resolved so I can move on) until 10:00 p.m. finished my presentation, made sure my projector worked, made sure my handouts were in order around 1:30 a.m.....up at 5 YUK....

Ran to get a tape so I could tape my presentation, make copies...get the item I always use for my "ice breaker"....Then...people begin trickling in, we start nice conversations... I brag about my kids (my greatest accomplishment) they brag about theirs... There really are honest, nice people out there...I'm energized!

Before I know it the room is FULL How wonderful! Questions are asked, lots of them...I'm handed over 25 business cards to follow up.... I'm energized ready for 2008 to be over and really, really starting to look forward to 2009!

My license plate says it all....

I'm proud that I have chosen this profession...I know my sisters and brothers (except for those uncrupulous few) are just as proud too!

Yes we are. GREAT job. I felt the same way in Portland, energized and nervous about the people coming, then they began to come, and lots of old friends in the group and before you know it almost 150 people and they are all friends. They have come to hear the message. What an invigorating day. It is fun to stretch in that way, huh? I am sure your talk was wonderful.

Thanks Terrylynn. WOW 150 great! My talk...well I do have quite a bit of Thespian in me...so I love the stage! Maybe that is why I'm a STAGER!

Yes roller coaster is a perfect term...Sometimes wish the drop wasn't from so high...takes time for your stomach, head and balance to come back when you hit the bottom...

Staging will be in high demand for a long time. People need to sell their homes for as much as they can and the market prices are down in many areas. They will not be able to do so unless they maximize the positive. Many will turn to trained professionals such as yourself. Good luck

Good luck with the one issue - you know we are rooting for you on this one - unscrupulous is not actually even harsh enough words for this little group.... I would think that their new business partners should take a look at their old partnerships if they were smart, but I guess they obviously aren't!

As far as the presentation, it sounds like you did great! Good luck turning them into solid jobs..

Many thanks for your kind words Melissa. Anyone who knows the saga, knows I had egg on my face because I bought their story "hook, line and sinker". Thankfully it only lasted long enough to "hurt" ...they won the battle but not the war.

I feel so sorry for the company that is associated now. I want to call...but, like me, they would think I was out of my mind. Charming...was one adjective heard from another on the "rain" until she realized what they were actually doing to me...

Who, can live with themselves taking no responsibility for their actions....that is what I'm struggling with the most. When I realize my wrong I apologize...not that all accept it, but the effort is made. It was one of the fundamentals I taught my children (all six of them)...makes me shiver for theirs...
