I am trying to adjust my business to the current market. Because the amount of REO's coming on the market are projected to increase in the Phoenix area before they start declining, I am researching this niche.

I just attended a "Free REO Seminar" and within 15 minutes I felt like I signed up for an infomercial. The majority of the seminar was spent with the sponsor trying to get the attendees to enroll in a program costing around $100 a month over a 12 month period and they would provide coaching and a list with over 500 Risk Managements Companies.  So much for the "Free Seminar".

I just wanted some feedback from agents who are listing REO properties - it is necessary to pay fees in order to get into this market?  If so, is there a 'standard' cost.  Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Hi June -

That's what happens at most of the 'free' seminars I've been to.  The first half is usually informative because they are building credibility by sharing useful information, but the second half is Buy Now! before it's too late.  Hopefully you got something out of it.

Good luck with the REO niche!
