Statistics for Greenville Area - August 2008

Although Greenville SC showed a 18% drop in volume as of September 1, 2008 our average price in the area increased .9% and the Median price of a home increased 2.6 %

We have a total of 7008 active listings which is an increase of 4.8% over last year.

The average price of a home in the Greenville area was 186,717 and the median price home was $155,200.

The average days on the market of active homes are 128 days which is 18 more days than last year.

The average days on the market for closed homes were 91 days which is 7 more days than last year.

Although all homes closed in the area do not appear in these statistics it gives us a benchmark of how the market is in Greenville.

Cheryl,

Actual stats for Greenville are far better than most would have you believe. Still a lot of business out there. With rates declining in the winter months I expect these #'s to show marked improvement.
