Many agents who are not from Palm Springs seem to think that since we are in Riverside County and that all the statistics there, are representative of our micro-economic real estate market here - nothing could be further from the truth. Those who attempt to compare do themselves, their clients and the real estate market here in Palm Springs do a total disservice. It is just not the same - it never has been. You see, the market here in the Coachella Valley including such desert cities as, La Quinta,Palm Desert,Palm Springs,Rancho Mirage and Cathedral City.

These are year round destination hot spots, and people from all over the World come here, not all of them are using US Dollars, many come with foreign currency, which is quite a bit stronger. They buy second or third homes here, they buy vacation homes, they make real estate investments. Why? Because they come here on vacation and they like what they see, and they want to come back.

Some are golfers and with over 200 golf courses, it might be hard to run out of courses to play at, even if they turn into year-round residents, which we certainly are seeing more and more of them lately. With 2007 having the coolest temperatures in the United States in a decade, those folks in the Midwest are coming to Palm Springs, La Quinta and Palm Desert to thaw out, enjoy some superb weather and play a little golf. Who can blame them, it is absolutely beautiful here.

Because the numbers in Riverside County on home sales have tanked, and that just isn't the case here. Homes are selling, we are coming into the season, and things are no where near perfect or near the early 2005 highs, but they are not to shabby either. We have great weather here in Palm Springs come on out and enjoy some golf or just relax by the pool and if you are looking for that dream home or condo while you're here, I'd be glad to help!
