MY YOUNG ARMY VETERAN FINDS A GREAT TOWNHOUSE

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty of the Palm Beaches

It took a bit of persuading, but the young Army veteran I am working with will be moving in to a lovely townhouse in Jupiter -- just blocks from the beach -- on Friday.

For those who periodically read my blog, I wrote last week about working with this young family, trying to find them a great place to live for six months while the Army vet finds a job and settles his wife and daughter into life in this country.

The young man was stationed in Italy for the past seven years.  During his service overseas, he had two tours in Afghanistan, in combat.  He told me that many of his buddies did not make it home.

It was wonderful to see several of my fellow Realtors step up and persuade their clients to give this young family a break on the high seasonal rent.  In all, I had about eight homes to show them in their price range, all furnished, ready to be occupied.

My thanks to all who helped.  I hope I can return the favor one day.

Congratulations, Carol, for taking care of the couple.  It would have been an honor to help them and try to give a little back for their service to the safety of our country.
