Bluffdale, Herriman and Riverton, making up zip code 84065 lead Salt Lake County in home value appreciation in 2007 with a 26.01% increase in the price of homes sold. The rest of Salt Lake County saw real estate increases of:
- Bluffdale/Herriman/Riverton 26.01%
- South Salt Lake 22.62%
- Draper 21.83%
- West Jordan 21.28%
- Kearns 20.29%
- Sandy 19.27%
- South Jordan 18.97%
- West Valley City 18.91%
- Salt Lake City 18.66%
- Magna 18.09%
- Taylorsville 17.55%
- Murray 17.12%
- Midvale 15.47%
- Holladay 14.23%
Who would have thought that the perennial home value giant "Holladay" would be at the bottom of the pack. But, then can you complain about a 14% increase in home prices? And the top 5 cities in the valley above 20%?
So, will the bubble burst? Have we seen the crest of the curve and are we going to see a correction? I don't think so. This increase is a correction of our undervalued market.
