Without fail, if we're in town, Laura and I head to Old Town Temecula every Saturday for the Farmers Market. I mistakenly thought it was just a summer event. Much to my delight I have found out it happens year 'round. Our last visit we brought home fresh baked bread, passionfruit, eggplant, peaches, kettle corn and more. I love the smells and colors and really enjoy watching people interact with the vendors and with each other. I know what I'll be doing tomorrow morning!

Ok maybe I'm a little off this morning. I saw Tom PLANT wrote an article and then opened it and saw PLANTS. I laughed. Guess I need more coffee -

Thanks for the info! You started my day with a smile.

Wow, Tom!  Looks like a great way to spend a Saturday!  I'm jealous!

How about sending me about 3 dozen of those sunflowers?  (just kidding!)

Tom,

Great Photos.  I love farmers market but I've never been to one in Temecula.  Next time I visit my son in Fallbrook, I will insist on going to one.  He showed us the wine country and the casinos.  I love Temecula.  My son wants me to move to that part of the country.  He works for Zales in Temecula Shopping Center.

Tom - As always, this is a terrific presentation.  Your photos made me feel like I was there with you.  I hope you're well, my friend.

Hey Tom.... I have a client living (and working in Temecula) John Kardum  ... A Real Estate Bfroker.  Do you know him??  Hey . .   Hows the market in your neck of the woods?  Here in Hawaii, the Buyers are sitting on the fence waiting for more drastic price reduc tions from Sellers.  It's a battle of wills at this point.

Any way.... Thanks for your post. Aloha

Jim

Giving back to our local farmers and meeting them face to face, knowing the hard work and sweat that goes into the products we buy, makes the farmers markets a great experience. Not to mention the homegrown goodies you can't find anywhere else

Aloha Tom...I have to agree with you and many of your commentors (Is that a real word? Or did I just make it up?) "nothing is cooler than a farmers market",  In my town (Hilo Hawaii) we are blessed to have farmers markets 3 days a week! Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday... reglarly I get to enjoy Lychee, mango, durians, wite pineapples, Tahitian limes, etc... but you know what I really really want? A fresh peach....I would just about sell my husbands soul (only one left as I sold mine for chocolate a few years back) for a true peach...yummmy...and that corn looked awful good as well...lucky you, enjoy!

Tom,

Yummy pictures...makes me want to hop a plane :-).  That pretty lady with the blue hair sure looks familiar.  Hope all is well, I finally got a post of Austin gathering put up.  Never did figure out how to do this new slide show program I upgraded to, so just a few pictures.

I haven't given up, just very frustrated and had to give my brain a "slide show break".

Stay healthy and happy, L

Jo - I'm sure I would have been a regular at your booth. I know you put your heart into it.

Gail - It is an awesome FM. I came home with three kinds of hummus yesterday, and bought some orchids and a schefflera plant.

Diane - It's not so sleepy anymore. Temecula and Murrieta have both passed 100,00 in population and are still growing.

Steve - So does ours. We got there just after 8:00 and when we were leaving around 9:00 folks were streaming in.

Nathan & Everard - Pechanga is the area's largest employer and should do a post about it someday. Thanks.

Mara - Thank you. There are dozens of fabulous farmers markets within 200 miles of here.

Daniel - You're welcome. The fall colors must be getting glorious out your way.

Susan - You're too funny. Happy I could start your day with a smile.
