Learning about it is only going half-way. Implementing it is the other half. The sooner you start applying all this advice, the better your sales performance.

*Quick tip: After you create your websites for your listings, create your e-mail signature and include them with all your e-mail correspondence, that way every single one of your outgoing e-mails is promoting your listings. After you create your outside blog, do the same with that website. Get yourself a great domain name and then attach it to your outside blog. If you don't know how to mask domain names, let me know and I'll teach you. Check out my outside blog at:

Sergio: I just started doing YouTube (I'm the MyrtleBeachGuru on there, but I'm only using picture tours so far). There is tremendous value in that. I am buying a video camera and learning all about it this next month. Smart marketing and thank you for sharing that with us.

One True Media is a great free site where you can use your pictures to create videos that you can then upload to YouTube. It's easy to use and even easier to use their system to upload the picture presentation video on to You Tube. I just started using it last week and I found one of the videos distributed somewhere in the middle east. Not too shabby... Garnering International Buyers is a good goal to have.

Another great presentation tool for your online flyers is Slide.com

Mirela - I am blown away by this post. Have bookmarked it to study AND implement. Two questions:

1. If you don't know how to mask domain names, let me know and I'll teach you - what is masking domain names?

2. Do you use print advertising? Magazines, newspaper, etc.?

Answers:

1. If you set up your outside blog, or if you make a website for a listing, you will be assigned some funky name on the browser that may look like this: http.Sharon/activerain.com or like this: http.24rfsil/comm/realbird.com

You can mask that name on your browser with the domain name of your choosing such as:

www.JacksonvilleRealEstateGuru.com

You buy the domain from GoDaddy.com, then mask the http.Sharon/activerain.com assigned name of your outside blog with the

www.JacksonvilleRealEstateGuru.com

or you can mask that http.24rfsil/comm/realbird.com assigned to you on the website you create for your lising on RealBird.com with:

www.PalmettoHarbor.com

That way your clients can easily find your listings or your outside blogs.

2. Yes I do page 4 and 5 of the Real Estate Book, the number one Real Estate publication here. I also do several covers per year. It is a tourist mecca and the magazine does very well for us. It's a little over $ 13,000 per year, but it gets the job done.

I am currently trying to figure out how to add arrows and circle items in red over pictures, so I can post directions on how to mask domain names. I should have something out on the subject by next week.

Great information. Thanks for sharing.

Mirela - my husband knows how to put arrows on pictures. He does it all the time on our listings when we show aerial views. He says to:

put the picture in a Word document,

then go to Tools, Click on Customize,

Click on Commands

Select Drawing from Categories and then select Drawing again from the box on the right hand side. Close the box. (Note the Drawing icon.)

Click on the Drawing icon in the Toolbar.

Click on the Arrow - you can select your color from the paintbrush with the color underneath it.

Save the picture, then upload it as needed :)
