Sally Cheeseman is a wonderful person with a big heart of gold. This post is to pay a special tribute to her because she went out of her way to help me in my time of need.

If you are a regular reader of my blog you know that I have been struggling with saving our land in Latvia from some Russian mobsters who forged my grandmother's will and who have attained a lien on our property. We inherited this property when my grandmother died.
You can read about our family's legal journey to keep our land by clicking here.
In our last court hearing the bad guys had gone into our court file and stole all of our records so that they could tell the judge that we should lose now. You can click to read my part 2 about our land struggle with Latvia.
Our attorney in Latvia just informed us that the judge wants to see a marriage record from my first marriage.Latvian women keep their maiden names so the judge does not understand why I changed my name 2 times. I got married in Hawaii. These documents have to be apostilled for the country in which you are sending them to.
So I emailed Sally asking if there was any way that she could drive downtown to the State capital for me and help me out with this. I found out that if I did it online, it could take at least 5 to 6 weeks to have my marriage record aposstiled.
Sally called me within minutes and told me to get her all the paperwork I need to get from there and that she would make the trip down there for me. I know this is going out of her way because I lived in Hawaii. When I lived there the traffic was not as bad as it can be now downtown. Traffic and traveling time is relative. What is a lot of time and traffic in Miami is totally different than Oahu. But in spite of the incovenience Sally helped me. She did not have to do this. But she did. This speaks volumes that who she is online is also who she is offline.
After she waited in line for 20 minutes to get my marriage record they tell her she can't just take the record to get it apostilled. She has to come back when they call her in about a week to pick it up and take it to the State Capital and get the apostille done there. So she will need to drive back down there again.
I am so blessed that Sally stepped up to help because if I had to do this through the mail it would be back in time for me to get it to Latvia in time for court! Thank you Sally Cheeseman! Here's your orchid!

I just happened to see this and wow...didn't expect a big ole post on it :) You can jump up and down after you got it in hand :) :) Glad to help :)
