Olde North Mill Hopkinton Massachusetts

Olde North Mill is a 30 lot subdivision off of North Mill Street on the East side of Hopkinton Massachusetts. This prestigious neighborhood consists of Chadwick Way and Wellington Way, as well as homes that border along North Mill Street. It is located directly behind the Ravenwood Subdivision.

This Hopkinton neighborhood was developed by Hallmark Properties, a local design build firm. At the time these homes were built Hallmark consisted of two partners Ed Tarca and Ron Roux. They are no longer working together but each of them is still building fine homes on their own.

Hallmark also developed parts of Highland Park as well as Cranberry Cove in Hopkinton.

Olde North Mill is simply a beautiful setting with incredible custom homes. Each home has been uniquely tailored to fit the individual home owners life style. All the exteriors of these homes are different. Most of the homes have intricate roof lines and a terrific blending of stone, brick, copper, and wood.

The size of the homes at Olde North Mill start at 3400 square feet and go up to around 4600 square feet exclusive of finished basement space.

The homes generally have 4 to 5 bedrooms with 3 to 5 baths. There are 2 to 4 garage spaces on all of the homes. Some of the homes have a detached two car garage that has been added to the property.

The homes in this neighborhood are set on an acre minimum. Hallmark built most of these Hopkinton homes between 1999 and 2001.

As of September of 2008 the homes at Olde North Mill would have a value between $800,000 to well over a million dollars. The Wellington Way and Chadwick Way cul-de-sacs would fetch more money than the homes along North Mill due to location.

There are twelve homes located on the two cul-de-sacs. This develop falls under the Hopkinton open space and landscape preservation by law(OSLPD).

A large portion of land that borders this property has been donated as open space. There are walking trails that encompass the property going out to Clinton Street and along North Mill. None of this property will be developed and will remain natural.

The interiors of the Olde North Mill homes are just stunning.Most of the homes have grand two story foyers with spacious open floor plans. The kitchen are all custom designed with the use of rich woods including cherry, maple, and faux finishing, as well high end appliance packages, and Granite counters.

What really sets Olde North Mill apart from some of the other luxury neighborhoods is the incredible finish work. Multi-piece crown moldings, wainscoting, coffered and treyed ceilings, and custom built-ins are all standard features in a Hallmark Construction home.Some of the homes have finished lower levels that are as appealing as the 1st two floors.

Another thing that I particularly like about Olde North Mill is that all the mail boxes and lamp posts are the same which gives the neighborhood a nice continuity.The landscaping is top notch! You won't find the typical Charlie Brown builders package in a Hallmark subdivision!

If I were in the market for a luxury home and there was one available in this Hopkinton neighborhood, it would be worth a look!

Besides the fact that the Boston Marathon starts in Hopkinton, the town has a great reputation of having a great commuting location, as the Mass Pike is one exit North on 495 and the MBTA is right down the street in Ashland. The "cross roads of New England" are right here at Hopkinton's door step.

One of the other big draws for the town is Hopkinton High School's terrific reputation for delivering a quality education. The schools continue to be highly rated.
