Help! I Need a Home!!

WORK WANTED! WILL WORK FOR FOOD, SHELTER AND LOVE!

HI, MY NAME IS POOKIE (WELL, THAT IS WHAT THEY CALLED ME AT THE SHELTER) MY FOSTER FAMILY PICKED ME UP FROM THE SHELTER AFTER HURRICANE IKE. THE SHELTER HAD NO WATER OR ELECTRICITY AND THEY NEEDED TO MAKE ROOM FOR THE OTHER 123 DOGS THAT WERE MISPLACED BY THE STORM.

MY FOSTER FAMILY THINKS I SHOULD BE NAMED "SCRAPPY" AFTER THE PUPPY FROM SCOOBY DOO AS MY PERSONALITY REMINDS THEM OF THAT DOG.

I'M HAVING A GREAT TIME WHILE WAITING FOR MY FOREVER HOME, BUT MY FOSTER FAMILY ALREADY HAS A DOG NAMED JAKE. JAKE IS MY NEW BEST FRIEND. I WOULD LOVE TO STAY WITH MY FOSTER FAMILY BUT THEN THEY WOULDN'T HAVE ROOM FOR THE NEXT FOSTER DOG. JAKE TOLD ME I WAS THE THIRD DOG THIS YEAR TO BE FOSTERED.

OH, MY FOSTER FAMILY TOLD ME TO TELL YOU ABOUT ME. I'M A FEMALE... PART BASENJI AND SOMETHING ELSE SMALL. I AM AROUND 6-7 MONTHS OLD, AND I WILL PROBABLY MAX OUT AROUND 25 LBS. I PLAY REALLY WELL WITH OTHER DOGS. JUST ASK JAKE!! I HAVE HAD ALL MY SHOTS, I HAVE BEEN SPAYED, AND I HAVE A MICROCHIP THINGY IMPLANTED IN MY NECK SO I WILL NEVER GET LOST (FOR LONG) AGAIN.

Scrappy sure is a really fine looken puppydog.

Basenji are a very fine puppydog to have as a friend, of your family.

I can tell you if there was some way to have join my family, I'ed sure do it.

When I was in my teens, I had a full blooded Basenji. You know they don't bark. Don't know if one that is a mix barks or not. That would not matter any ways. If you be so kind say howdy to Scrappy for me, and give her a rub behine the ears.

Thanks for all the comments. I think I have found several homes for Pookie/Scrappy to choose from.

PostScript. Pookie never left her foster home. Instead she became a permanent family member. After weeks of medication and medical treatment for demodex, pneumonia, ear infection, eye infection, and every intestinal parasite known to canine, dad didn't have the heart to let her go.
