Free scratch paper

By
Real Estate Agent with REMAX Results, Frederick MD

Here is something we started doing in our office. Instead of throwing used paper into recycling, we cut the 8.5 X 11 sheets in half down to 8.5 X 5.5 and use the back sides for scratch paper. As long as the front doesn't contain client information, we get a second use out of it. Comes in handy for quick notes by the phones and workstations and for clients kids to draw on.

I think thats a great idea. Why not? At least it gets a 2nd use before getting recycled. Thats the bets thing you can ask for!

Rich, some of my favorite people are like you.  They have an aversion to waste and they respect & care well for what they have.  One of them had a saying he used that he applied to most everything he owned.  It went something like this:  "Use it up, wear it out.  Make it do, or do without."  Wouldn't the world be a better place if our throw-away society took that saying to heart?

Rich: That's a great idea. At the rate we go through paper we'd be in danger of being crushed in about a week. Great tip!

I do that, too!  I used to just scribble all over my calendar.

Rich, we do the same in our office also. It's surprising how many times you print out a listing and there are two lines on the second page, what a waste. Glad to see others taking advantage and using the scrap paper.

I have a toddler who loves to draw on my scrap pieces of paper.  Thanks for your post.
