I will never be able to control your intuitive thoughts ( simply put, your gut feelings), but if I could I would ask you get away from all the chicken little syndromes that are out there. If you believe in something and think about it enough, it will happen. This applies whether it is good or bad. I was reading my email from Bob Proctor ( www.Bobproctor.com ) this morning, and just about everyday Bob hits a chord in me. He also made a pretty good movie called The Secret. Every once in a while I google "the secret" and watch the 20 minute condenced version. It may sure be simple but it works for me. I was beating my head against a rock trying to get things down for closings at the end of the month and it dawned on me that I better snap out of it fast.

I have done it so many times that I knew that it was all symantics and that I was literally talking myself into something that was not going to happen, nor would I allow it to happen. Instead of doing or thinking something that was productive I was approaching the problem in the wrong way.I was not listening to my intuition, that being my gut feelings.

The same thing can apply to the science of getting rich. People can get this wrong. The original author Wallace Wattles was at about as low as you could get in the 1880's and decided he had an attitude problem. He was right. He had allowed himself to be constantly miserable, down, and talked himself into failure. People can spend a life time on talking themselves out of things before they even get going. I know I sure did at one time. Not any more.

Wallace Delois Wattles (1860 - 1911) was an American author. A pioneer success writer, he remains personally somewhat obscure, but his writing has been widely quoted and remains in print in the New Thought and self-help movements.

Wattles' best known work is a 1910 book called The Science of Getting Rich in which he explained how to become wealthy.

It is hard to have inner peace at all times, but I am happy having it on a more regular basis. The market is what it is. There is business out there but we have to take a step back and do the things that successful people do, and not what the unsuccessful do. It is all attitude. Sure, we work harder now, but think how refined we will work with a great market again. I actually find it refreshing working with all the charming buyers I have in addition to selling properties. I have a blast talking to people rather than being a machine on a phone for three to four hours a day. I encourage you to sign up for Bob Proctors thought of the day on his website www.Bobproctor.com . If you get a chance watch this as well.

Your comments are always encouraging and uplifting- I find them something I look forward to- I agree completely, that negativity breeds negativity and nothing smells worse than the stench of desperation.  Confidence is a skill.  And if we stop and are appreciative of every opportunity, do a thorough job and follow up everytime...people notice.  That notice paves the way for validation, and validation is self affirming that we are good people.  The cycle repeats.

I know you are a good person, doing a great job and good things will come to you!

Good Luck and Sell Well!

Thanks for the kind words. A great football coach in Green Bay named Vince Lombardi said at one time "Confidence is contagious, and so is lack of confidence"

Hi Tom,

I agree that we can get stuck in a certain mindset that becomes self-fulfilling. It's as though we expect circumstances to be a particular way... and then, that's what we look for in life... so we only see those things. When circumstances are different, and often better, from what we might have envisioned, we miss out, because we're looking for something else. It takes a lot of effort to re-train one's thought-processes, but it can be done.

Thanks for sharing Bob Proctor with us!

Tom,

I love this post....I'm a big  fan of Bob Proctor and Wallace Wattles and I enjoyed seeing them both brought together in your post.

Jim Rohn is another business/life guru who I admire greatly....one of my favourite quotes of his is:

"Learn to discipline your disappointment and keep on sowing because you didn't set up the set up, and some are not going to stay, and that is not of your making."

He's quite an amazing person.

Anyhow, I believe you have this 'law of attraction' down to an art form.  (((-:
