Brian and Rita, every time I read about these new areas in Denver it just reminds me that I have been away for a long time. I use to live in Denver 35 years ago long before Highlands Ranch and Lone Tree. It is amazing how things have changed over the years. Still remember King Soopers, though.

Good morning to ya!

From the looks of the buildings I guess the area you are addressing is relatively new. Safeway and Target are familiar names to us. Never heard of King Soopers though.

Good post for localism.

Gena - Brian has lived here all his life. He grew up in Littleton and remember when all this Highlands Ranch and Lone Tree area was just dirt (and far away it seemed).

Harold - Yes this area is relatively new. King Soopers is the biggest grocery store chain in Colorado

Hi Rita!  I just love your lists--supposedly Google does too!!!  It's so funny to hear that King Sooper is the largest chain in an entire state and I've never heard of it!

Debe - when I moved here from Tampa. I had no clue where to shop or where anything was. So I thought this would be helpful. I basically drove around until I found what I needed to find (this was before my google days of searching for things :)
