I just read John Yedinak's Reverse Mortgage Daily weekend post.
He writes that the Florida Democratic Party Chairwoman, Karen Thurman, said "John McCain should be ashamed of himself for preying on seniors like a bogus reverse-mortgage peddler."
Who does she think she is? I'm guessing she knows nothing about Reverse mortagges at all. As if I needed another reason not to vote for Barack Obama.
Mike, I agree with you....at least on the uneducated reverse mortgage comment. People, legislators, et al. should not say things out of context when they do not know what they are talking about. Sadly, our industry, not just Reverse has been the subject of much scrutiny because of a few bad apples. I think the evens of the last several weeks have shifted that focus on to Wall Street and derivatives, CDO's and credit swaps markest. I am glad the light is pointing somewhere else.

Thanks for the comment. I agree we take a lot of the flack for stuff that was not completetly our fault. Reverse Mortgages have a very negative perception out there even though they have an over 93% satisfaction rate. Feel free to subscribe. I post every day.

Reverse mortages frankly helps many people out. And I frankly think that at that age you shouldn't worry about what your family will ripe from you but rather taking care of yourself
