The REAL Deal - in your neck of the woods!
So what do you all predict for the market in your area - both in new homes and resale.  As i'm sure you've noticed, the media seems to change their outlook on a weekly, if not daily basis.
Lenders are getting a little stricter - which i think is a good thing for buyers, considering we've had the highest rate of foreclosures and bankruptcys in years lately.  Also, with prices leveling out - curious how appraisals will go this year!
Our office had a lot of sales and listings, so the market can't be as bad as the media is making it out to be - at least here in Middletown, NJ!

Also, when buyers insist on waiting to buy, thinking prices will come down - what do you tell them?  Seems they are reacting to what the media is telling them, instead of listening to professionals who know the real deal!  I would show them the facts in black & white!

Well, are listings moving in your office, or stagnant?  In our office they are moving quite well.  We did take a lot of price reductions, but not drastic ones.  Around here it seems to have just leveled out, but things are selling - not what the media would have you believe!

Listings are moving in our office, just not as fast as before.  The market is correcting itself.  Here in Florida we had a mighty wild run.
