You are only as good as those around you.
This can't be more true than in the mortgage/real estate industry, which is why it is imperative to surround yourself with people you can trust. Whether it is your processor, underwriter, buyers, sellers, listing agent, buyers agent or title company everyone plays a role.
An example are my two recent loan transactions. Both loans are FHA purchases with seller down-payment assistance and set to close the middle and end of September. With programs such as Nehemiah and Ameridream becoming obsolete September 30th, this left me with little room for any set-backs or delay. We were moving right along, then, the unthinkable happened. In the middle of both transactions my previous employer was seized by the FDIC, leaving me displaced and no home for my two loans. Time was ticking and I needed to act fast.
In less than 24 hours I found a new "home" for myself and my two loans. The staff here at my new home took full ownership of both files and reassured me they will see that they are closed. On Friday one deal closed, three days early! A FHA, seller DPA loan closing in 9 business days was previously unheard of, until now.
If it wasn't for the help of buyers, sellers, the agents involved and of course my new team, my buyers and I would still be homeless. Everyone delivered in a timely and urgent manner.
I am happy to be home.
