Halloween Haunts~A New Hampshire Tradition

When you think of New Hampshire in October your mind immediately goes to brightly colored trees, crisp air, apples, pumpkins and Local Fairs.

These are all wonderful and worth seeing in their own right....but one of the most popular October festivities that is enjoyed by all ages ....is Halloween.

Here is a list of area celebrations!

Coppal House Farm and Corn Maze- Lee NH pumpkin

The corn maze is open from August through November. October is filled with special events. There is a Corn Maze Contest with a prize of Free tickets and a week from 10/24 thru 11/1 called Haunted Overload featuring "Fright" for all ages! Be sure to check out their website for details and directions (and when you get to Haunted Overload....turn down the volume!)

Celebrate Samhain- Peterborough NH

A celebration of the Final Harvest and Ancestors Past is happening October 25th. Meet a Druid Princess and learn the truth about Spirits, Visions and Apparitions. See web site for details!

Fright Kingdom- Nashua NH skeletons

Ghoullog Halloween Haunted Chairlift Ride-North Conway bats

Have you ever been on a Haunted Chairlift? I doubt it! Well now you can say you have on this nite time ride to the summit a haunted tour. Promising to be bigger and scarier than last year! See web site for details!

You're just trying to get me back up there for Halloween! LOL New England is awesome for fall activities. And the foliage! Oh my!

Now I am a huge fan of Halloween! I have such fond memories of it from my childhood. These sound like some pretty fun events. Are your leaves changing yet? Ours have about another month until they are in full color!

The northeast is such a cool place to live this time of year- with the colors and the corn mazes (not to mention the last of the roasted corn), it's become my favorite time of year. I LOVE your squiggly little creatures! BOO!

Joan, I just had to stop by and say I loved your animated images with this one. Very cute and fun!! I love Halloween too.

Carol...you know you certainly don't need an excuse to come....just come!

Hi Rich....I love Halloween..we used to dress up every year when my son was younger! I'll have to dig up some of the pictures and do a post!

The trees are just starting....another few weeks I'd say!

Just think Laurie..when the Baby get a little bigger Grammie can take her trick or treating! Have you talked your daughter into moving home yet?

Halloween is my favorite holiday and Fall my favorite time of year. I'm so happy to live in New England where this time of year is so beautiful. I went to Haunted Overload last year at Coppal Farm and it was awesome. I plan to attend again this year.

Mike...most are "borrowed" from emails! Feel free to borrow them from me....
