I had the distinct pleasure of teaching a blogging class at Mere Bulles last week. Located at 5201 Maryland Way in Brentwood, TN, ( 37027 ) Mere Bulles gives an upscale Southern dining experience to anyone who eats there!
As soon as you arrive, the elegant Southern-Plantation-like House welcomes you. It's huge front porch and its Southern charm interior really make you want to stay awhile!
The lunch menu ranges in price from a salad for $6.99 on up to a filet mignon for $17.99. I had fruit tea (always a plus for this southern girl), a salad, the Charleston She Crab Bisque (um, can I get another bowl of that please?) and the rib rolls (shaved prime rib, jack and cheddar cheese, horseradish cream sauce, au jus). They even handmake their own potato chips. It was a delicious meal.
I remember when Mere Bulles used to be downtown and the Champagne Sunday Jazz Brunch was all the rage! From their website, I can't tell if they still have the Jazz, but the food is amazing! Here's what they serve for the Sunday Brunch:
Crème brulee French toast
Fried green tomato eggs benedict
Roasted pork loin
Blackened gulf grouper
Full Omelet/eggs to order station
Apple bacon
Farm fresh sausage
She-crab bisque
Over roasted potatoes
Fresh vegetables and sides
Full salad selection
Fresh sliced fruit
They also have a chocolate fountain for dessert with various fruits and cakes/pastries for dipping!!!
So, thanks, Donna Mitchell of Countrywide, for the great meal and the opportunity to teach at one of South Nashville's finest Southern restaurants, Mere Bulles!
