Great news for those that love HGTV's The Stagers.  I just wanted to share with everyone that it has been picked up for Season 2.  It's official!!!  For my fellow Stagers on Active Rain that contacted HGTV with your comments and support for the show, I'm sure you helped make it happen.

Check out The Stagers' Facebook group.  They are looking for homeowners for Season 2.  Are you a homeowner in the Vancouver area that is planning on selling your property?  Give them a call.  You might be one of the lucky chosen ones.

Great news -- I did receive an email from the show's producers the other day asking if I had a home for sale within 20 minutes of downtown Vancouver, to be considered as a possible staging project for Season 2.  I was so glad to hear about the show being extended and still wish they'd go to 60 minutes!!

I hope it only airs in Canada! This is a Canadian demographic show that has little to no relevance of the American housing market.

Brian,

Actually you will see how relevant this season will be as markets in Canada are also fluctuating and certainly not what they used to be.  Frankly you can see an arc over  season 1 from multiple offers and properties selling way over asking to people getting way below their asking price or failing to find their buyer closer to the end of season 1.  the show reflected the downturn in our market.  Properties are no longer selling for what they used to in Vancouver - the market here is just correcting itself as it should.  There are more homes on the market than there are buyers and selling property is becoming more and more difficult suggesting a greater need to stage homes to put one's best foot forward.   We aim to showcase this need as well as the message that it is "list-price" first that moves real estate.       I believe the very reason the show did so well in America was because of what is happening to Real Estate markets there and how competitive they have become.   People are beginning to understand that failing to hire a Stager may not be a wise decision in a competitive market - the more competitive the market, the more competitive your product needs to be - its that simple.  Whatever the market, staged homes homes sell faster and for money than non-staged homes. Cheer up - STAGING is now a household term throughout North America and selling your service will be much easier to those who already have an idea as to what staging is about.
