Where do you practice?

I travel around the country and network with many agents.  We all expect referrals, but have you ever thought how an agent from the other end of the country is going to know where your area of dealings is, let alond be able to remember, or tell from the business card you gave them and they shoved into their pocket?

What about the visual types.   You haven't got a chance of me knowing where your town, California, or your city, Alabama is when we meet even if it is near say Sacremento.   I really don't have much of an idea where that is either.  Honestly, I don't think most Americans are any better at Geography.

So how about a small map on your business card?   A map on your active rain profile?

A quick visual and I know exactly where you are, and if I have a referral for that city, I will sort thru my cards and find the map.

What a fantastic idea!  When my husband was in the Navy, serving in Italy, he always met Americans with sailboats.  They had either heard of or sailed to Drummond Island Mi.  What about my wanting to blog, trying to explain to others we are an island off the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  !!!!! A lot of people say "The upper what of where?

So glad to have bumped into your blog Guy.  Thank you

I think ActiveRain has helped me some with geography but sometimes I am totally confused. That is a good idea.   I am not a map maker though... and really not all that great with graphics....

I came looking for Madison... to see who was blogging and what they were blogging about.

Thanks for the idea Guy. You're right too, our country is good at geography. Thanks for sharing and greetings from Paradise (the lower left-hand side of Florida all the way at the bottom on the Gulf of Mexico...yes there we are.. that's us!)
