First Franklin Short Sale

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams

I am working on a short sale with First Franklin.  Has anybody heard of them?

Based on my research, they were bought out by Merril Lynch.  It is a Fannie Mae loan I believe.  Should I call Fannie Mae directly?

All these banks going under makes it hard to do a short sale!

I have my car loan with them. If you are on the buyer side make sure you stay incontact with the selling  agent who shoulcd know what to do. If dealing with the bank directly get a hunman on the phone. You will need to be persisitant

Thanks Charlie.  Thats all I can do!  I am the buying side but the other agent has allowed me to deal directly with the bank.

Good luck Katie, and oh boy, another area that is going to be strangely affected by all this financial nonsense.  Seems like no matter where you turn, everything is squeezing consumers' ability to buy and sell homes.

Katie,  I heard of them but I thought they went out of business.  I know they are no longer offering loans.  They did a lot of subprime stuff.

I have negoiated quite a few short sales with them...my experience was that they were slow, in getting things done...but a lot better than most.

Home owner Screwed by First Franklin / Home Loan Services

Beware, be scared and check to make sure you have all your fingres if you shake hands with them. They are crooks and if you do a web search "First Fraklin lies" you will be horrified by thier zeal, heartlessness and lies they have performed with practiced profiency in forclosure of peoples homes and lives.

Homeowner,

I am so very sorry that you were affected by banks that should not be in the business.  They are no longer selling loans.  I do not know if they service them.  I was never able to complete the short sale.  There just was not enough time!

Living the HLS nightmare.

First Franklin now operates as Home Loan Services.

Merrill Lynch purchased them a few years ago. Now everything is owned by Bank Of America. I believe BOA is the investor on most of the loans except for the ones that were sliced and diced into CDO's.

I found your blog by googling "has any one worked with First Franklin".  I would really appreciate if you could let me know how it is going or how it went with First Franklin on the short sale.  I am about to list a short sale and would like to know what my chances of success are going to be.  Good blog!
