As many of you know, Brad and Dakno Real Estate Marketing created the Active Rain Customizer many months ago to allow one and all the opportuinity to brand your blog. With the subsequent blessing from Active Rain, we worked together with AR to make it available to everyone here in the "Rain Forest". Of course, with the recent enhancement and new look and feel of the Active Rain website, things have been a bit of a mess. Needless to say, Active Rain asked Dakno to "pull down" the customizer until they could roll this feature into their systems.

So When Will the Customizer Be Back Up?

I wish we could answer that question. It really is in the hands of the staff of Active Rain. So if you have emailed Brad or I or even left a comment on our Dakno Real Estate Marketing website, we wish we could help. Unfortunately, we can not speak for AR when the customizer will be available again.

Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.

Bobby

Bobby ~ Thanks for the update. I was wondering what was going on. I tried to change my AR blog look the other day and realized that you had pulled the customizer down. I ended up deleting everything and going with a vanilla look for while.

Hi Missy - Sorry for the inconvenience. Our hands are pretty much tied. It is my hope Rich or Brad with Active Rain will chime in and offer some information.

Hello Ryan - We were asked to make a few adjustments to the customizer which we did. Now it's really up to the AR team to take the next steps with the customizer.

Bobby, the customizer is a great tool and I've used it often to make changes. And I want to thank you for it and hope it will be back soon.

I think Jorgen is working on this Bobby, we had some challenges trying to reach Brad last week.  I'll look into this and see what we can find out.  Is Brad around this week or next?  We may need to have some dialogue with him to enable us moving forward. Thanks.  :-)

I've been wondering the same thing! I need to change my header since they removed the Active Rain logo from the upper right corner. Now I have a white spot where that logo goes and I can't change it. It's driving me nuts!

Hi Lisa - Me too! Count on someone from the Dakno team writing a post on the Customizer availability as soon as it happens.

Me three, count me in, I'll be posting about it as well! lol~
With the AR logo gone from the right side, mine looks really dorky now...

I heard a little birdy say we might have it transitioned to our servers by the end of this week.
My fingers are crossed.   :-)

Bobby - Thanks for the update.  I have to give you firm a plug because I utilized Dakno for setting up my ActiveRain skin template and I couldn't be happier.

I know! I can't figure out how to change the username to my name instead of my company! Oh, well, the mojito probably doesn't help.

'Glad I saw this before I invested time in revising my banner.  As you pointed out, banners need a little tweaking now that the ActiveRain block is gone from the upper right.  I think this tool really revolutionized AR, and I hope they realize how important it is to the AR experience.

Margaret - we do realize and are working hard to not only get it back up and running but to improve it as well.  We are working on it as we speak.  You'll be happy when it's completed and released.  Shouldn't be much longer now...  :-)  Thanks to everyone for your patience and understanding.

Phewwwwww!  I just spent a few hours trying to find the info on how to customize my blog page, before happening upon this post in a round about way.  I found so many other things along the way...stopped to watch Mad Men....and then FINALLY: voila.  So that's it then - I guess I'm going to have to actually write something instead of putting it off by tweaking and decorating and designing...YIKES.

Okay, Okay...the changes were well worth the wait. I like it, a lot. It is very user friendly and extremely easy to use. Just plug in your "Header" and "Background" selections and Wa-La you are set. This is a wonderful tool that allows the Blogger to personalize his/her Blog. Awesome!

Bobby - Thank you so much for this update. I know I was one that was hitting you up for this last week. I actually contacted someone at AR and they told me, "don't know contact you"...too funny!  I have issues with using the customize header because I use some HTML in most posts that when I implemented the header it instantly turned all the white areas in my posts to black.. perhaps an easy fix, don't know! I was frustrated and couldn't get anyone to help so I gave up! I love the idea and hope to use it in the near future! Will keep an eye out! Thanks for the update!
